Davide is an Italian harpsichordist who promotes a vision of the instrument not just for historically informed performance, but as a dynamic, vital voice in contemporary music. To highlight the harpsichord's relevance in today's musical landscape, his concert programs thoughtfully pair early and Baroque repertoire with works by contemporary composers from a wide range of musical backgrounds, with whom he collaborates closely. On stage, his approach is deeply communicative and engaging, aiming to break down the traditional barriers between performer and audience, reflecting his firm belief that art should belong to everyone and be universally accessible.After earning his degree in piano, Davide graduated with the highest honors, distinction, and honorable mention from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome in Harpsichord and Historical Keyboards. In 2022, he was awarded the Italian National Arts Prize (Premio Nazionale delle Arti) in the Early Music Instruments and Voice category, organized by the Italian Ministry of University and Research. That same year, he won both the Wanda Landowska Prize (Overall First Prize) and the Soloist First Prize at the Wanda Landowska Harpsichord Competition.
His musical development was profoundly shaped by his studies with Barbara Vignanelli, Francesco Martucci, and Enrico Baiano.Active as a concert performer from an early age, Davide has appeared at renowned venues and festivals, including the Museo Nazionale degli Strumenti Musicali, Auditorium Parco della Musica, Casa Verdi in Milan (Fondazione G. Verdi), and Villa Borromeo Visconti Litta in Lainate for the Musica e Stravaganze Early Music Festival. He has also performed at the Antico Oratorio dell'Arciconfraternita dei Bergamaschi and the Basilica di San Vitale al Quirinale in Rome for L'Architasto – Il Clavicembalo International Festival, the concert season of the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music, the Capitoline Museums, the Sala della Balla at Castello Sforzesco in Milan, the Ripatransone Opera Leonis Festival, the Privernum Early Music Festival, the Wanda Landowska Festival, the Ricerca d’ascolto concert series in Cremona, the Museo delle Genti d’Abruzzo in Pescara for the Artifici e Meraviglie Early Music Festival, the Oratorio del Gonfalone, and the Teatro Olimpico in Rome.
In 2026, he shared the stage with Enrico Baiano, Roberto Loreggian, and Chiara Tiboni in a landmark performance of J.S. Bach’s complete French Suites and Harpsichord Concertos.Davide frequently collaborates with contemporary composers, including Gaia Possenti, Davide Remigio, and Daniele Vulpiani, all of whom have written works specifically for him. He premiered Vulpiani’s piece Kirigami at the Castello Sforzesco in Milan, and he serves as the editor and reviewer for the forthcoming publication of Music for an Architect by Stradivarius.
He has also released an album dedicated to the music of Johann Sebastian Bach under the DIG Digressione Music label.
